A beloved part of local life for over 70 years, our destination store is based on Shop Street in the heart of Drogheda. You won't find this wide a range of brands and styles anywhere else north of Dublin.
Where it all started
1953
Our store on 6 Shop Street has welcomed a hundred thousand footsteps since it first opened its doors on 13 November 1953. Opened by Paddy and Carmel Dwyer, they began selling high quality footwear to all those in the local community and further afield.
Through the years
Their son, Victor, joined the family business in 1974 and has given his life to it ever since. Inspired by the attitude of his parents, Victor became engrossed in the industry and over 40 years later he is still visiting seasonal retailer fairs across Europe, spotting new fashion trends and introducing quality products to the local consumer.
Today
Victor’s wife, Margo, joined him in the shop in the late 1980's and now the next generation is also involved in the family business, with Richard joining his parents in 2019, while Paddy’s daughter, Sarah Jane, is also an integral part of his store, which is today located at 11 Shop Street.
